IPAWS - Local and National Emergency Alerts

The integration between First Arriving and the IPAWS system, provided by FEMA, allows emergency notifications to be pushed to your First Arriving dashboard without any input from the users, based on the zip code of the agency. The Integrated Public Alert & Warning System (IPAWS) is FEMA's national system for local alerting that provides authenticated emergency and life-saving information to the public through mobile phones using Wireless Emergency Alerts, radio, and television via the Emergency Alert System, and on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Weather Radio.
