Integration Guide

Tempest by WeatherFlow

If your agency runs its own Tempest weather station, its live readings can go on the screens in your stations — conditions measured at your own site rather than at the nearest regional station.

About Tempest. Tempest data is shared with the National Weather Service (NWS–NOAA) and other meteorological agencies worldwide, supporting their work predicting dangerous weather and warning the public.

What we can put on your dashboard

Current weather from your station

Live readings taken by your own Tempest hardware.

What we need from you

An API key from your Tempest account — WeatherFlow’s API documentation covers how to generate one.

Open a ticket at our support center, then submit the key through the First Arriving Secrets Tool and paste the link it generates into your ticket. Please don’t send it by email. Full instructions: Sending First Arriving sensitive information.

About vendor charges: data or API access could carry an additional charge, determined by WeatherFlow and not by First Arriving.
