FlightAware

Integration Guide

FlightAware

Bring flight status from FlightAware onto the screens in your stations — built for agencies at or near an airport.

What we can put on your dashboard

Flight status

Color coded, so a delay or cancellation reads at a glance.

  • Flight ID
  • Inbound or outbound indicator
  • Arrival or departure time
  • Status — Left Gate / Taxiing, Scheduled, Cancelled, Delayed, Arrived

What we need from you

The airport code you want flights for — for example KCGI.

Plus the username for your FlightAware account and the API key from inside it.

Open a ticket at our support center first, then submit the credentials through the First Arriving Secrets Tool and paste the link it generates into your ticket. Please don’t send them by email or chat. Full instructions: Sending First Arriving sensitive information.

API access depends on your account tier. FlightAware’s AeroAPI plan comparison shows which tiers include it — worth checking before you start, since it may not be included in what you have today.

About vendor charges: data or API access could carry an additional charge, determined by FlightAware and not by First Arriving.
