Once all steps are completed, please inform your First Arriving representative so we can confirm everything on our end.
Change Your Instagram Account to a Business Account:
- Go to your Instagram profile (on a mobile device).
- Tap the menu in the top right corner.
- Scroll down and select "Account type and tools."
- Select "Switch to professional account."
- Choose a category that best describes your business.
- Select Business.
- You can also add contact details to your profile, such as your phone number, email address, and physical address.
Connect your Facebook and Instagram Accounts:
Please ensure you are on your desktop; this process will not work on mobile.
- Go to the department's Facebook page and ensure your account is switched to the department's profile.
- On the left-hand side, you'll find a sidebar labeled "Manage Page." Select "Settings."
- In the Settings tab, scroll down and select "Linked Accounts" (located under "Permissions").
- On the "Linked accounts" page, Instagram will be listed as "Not connected." Select "View" and "Connect Account."
- Complete the prompts to guide you in connecting your accounts. To verify your account, you will need your Instagram password.
Accept Facebook Partner Request:
Our team has sent a Facebook Partner Request to allow us to post recruitment-centric organic posts and paid ads on your behalf. Please ensure you are on your desktop; this process will not work on mobile.
- In the Settings tab, select "New Page Experiences."
- Select "Page access." You will see a "Partner Request" from First Arriving near the bottom of the page.
- Select the request. You will complete a few steps to confirm you are sharing access with First Arriving. You will need your Facebook password to confirm the request.
